It offers high strength—stronger than compact HPL—while being easy to install and process (cutting, drilling, nailing). The board resists mold, termites, and chemical corrosion, making it ideal for various climates and even lab use. It also provides sound insulation, antistatic safety (suitable for hospitals), and is 100% degradable with no asbestos, formaldehyde, or PVC.
How Remica Magnesium Oxide Wood Board are Made
The production of Remica’s MGO wood fiber board depends heavily on climate, making southern regions like Fujian ideal. During colder months (Dec–Jan), when temperatures fall below 18°C, production halts due to unsuitable curing conditions.
A full cycle takes at least two months: 2 days of pressing and chemical reaction, 30–45 days of curing (ideally 60–90), and 48 hours of drying to reduce moisture below 8%. Boards are trimmed before sanding to remove rough edges caused by dry production, followed by double-sided sanding for a smooth, even surface ready for finishing or lamination.
